So, today I have finally asked my doctor for some help!
I am being referred for a 10 week counselling course, I know I should be feeling more optimistic but I feel like nothing will change. I know people have tried everything out there but nothing worked and I fear I will be the same and remain this way forever.
I can’t cope like this anymore it’s ruining my life and I’m not getting any younger.
I’m not going to ask any of you if it works because if it did you wouldn’t be on here but I just wanted to get it off my chest! xx

Have your sessions started yet? Even if this therapy doesn’t cure your phobia, it can help you cope with your anxiety and help you look at things in a different way. Something as simple as going to my appointments helped me overcome my agoraphobia years and years ago. Exposing yourself to the waiting room can be therapeutic. Please be optimistic, even if you don’t feel progress... it’s there 😁

Thank you. No I haven’t heard anything yet which is unusual as I have gone via the private healthcare approach (in the UK). But I have to wait for my GP surgery to refer me.
I hope I gain something positive from it anyway. Well done on your progress 😊 x
