Hi guys, I wasn't sure where to post this, it isn't exactly on topic but I do need some opinions (though I know I do need to see a doctor)
My symptoms started as a cold around Monday (it's now Sunday), I wasn't alarmed because it was really just some throat pain and congestion. 2 days later, the fever and body aches hit me..and haven't gone away. I've been taking Tylenol for the other symptoms hoping it's just a severe cold, but it's now been 4 days so naturally I'm worried. It's very severe lower back pain, I also have been getting headaches and other body aches (but mainly my back). I'm still congested in my nose but no longer coughing as much as I was.
Does this sound like a flu? I think I'll see a doctor either today or tomorrow but I would appreciate opinions! Thank you guys!

How are you feeling now? It sounds like you have flu not sure what the backache is though maybe it goes with your body aches? Hope you feel better soon x

Could the backache be from coughing too much? I had a cold a few weeks ago and I had back pain and a headache from coughing too hard and too much. It definitely does sound like you could have the flu.. but I thought the flu was quicker to go away. I'm not too educated on the differences between flu and colds though so don't take my word!!
How are you feeling now??

Thanks for responding! I slept all day and still feel achy, my back still seems to be the main source of pain. Definitely going to try and see the doctor tomorrow
