Does anyone else get really n when the light is off and you're laying in bed? If I turn on a light it gets better, and the same if I sit up. It's not acid cause I take medication for reflux but I don't understand why this happens.
I've had this issue every night for a week, along with pain in my stomach and gas.

This happens to me too! And I've heard of it happening to other emets- it's anxiety. When I'm alone, the anxiety is always worse, and turning off the light at night and being in a dark room makes me feel more alone. It sounds silly, because we live in houses with other people, but being in a dark room alone with your fears can be really anxiety-provoking.

The darkness has always been a source of comfort for me. I get some of my best thinking done in the dark (and in the shower and while waiting to perform). The dark helps me refocus my brain on important things rather than on anxiety, panic, and fear. I do meditation in the dark too. I've never had a problem where I woke up and v* in the dark, so there is no trauma involved, and the darkness has always been like my escape where I can be closer to my own soul.

I feel the same! I prefer sleeping with my light on then darkness because when I lay down after I turn my lamp off I get scared I will get n* or v* and I have to turn my lamp back on and I will sleep with it on all night, it's strange, I think the light is like a comfort to me as everytime I have v* it's always been in the middle of the night and it's been dark
