Tomorrow I'm going to London for a show. Due to money I'm getting a train in the morning and a late train home so I'm going to be out for around 15 hours. First I'm getting a 30 minute bus into my home city, then a 2 hour train. Then the tube around London until we reach the 02 arena. We're getting the train home at 11:45pm so we won't be home until 2:30-3:00am. I've been to London quite a few times before but that was before my anxiety and emet really started up. I've packed my essentials - hand gel, anti-d* tablets, paracetamol etc. (Wanted anti-v* pills but couldn't find them anywhere..) Anyway, does anyone else struggle om public transport? Any tips? I'm mostly worried about the tube... being underground on a busy train... Ugh.

I hate public transportation. It's crowded, sometimes smelly, and people often talk about motion s**kness while riding. Luckily I have not actually seen anybody v* (yet) on public transportation, including a train. I would add some natural things like mint and water to your essentials, as well as ear buds or head phones (which I use while on public transportation so that I can focus on good sounds). You should be fine though - and if you feel bad take your medicine.

I too struggle with public transportation. Usually what I'll do is bring something to keep me busy (a book, magazine, even my phone) as well as some headphones so that I can listen to music and block out the noise around me (because I'll start to think every cough, throat clearing, or movement is someone getting sick.) Then I'll usually just try to avoid looking around at the other passengers too much because if I do end up convincingmyself that at least one of them is sick. Take a window seat if possible and just watch outside rather than inside.
