I know that no one on here is a doctor (well a hand full might be) and would have a clear answer for me, so I guess I'm just asking for someone to identy or help talk me through this.
My co worker with whom I share an office with came in Thursday morning and said she puked a little bit two times over the course of the night and has been having diarrhea and a headache and sore throat. She also said she got her time of the month during the night and she even came in with iced coffee!! (How do you drink coffee after being you to puke during the night?!) I sent her home as I was furious that she came in. I was around her for about an hour and half that day. I cleaned the office with Lysol disinfecting spray (claims to kill noro). The next day she said that she was feeling better, hadn't vomited in over 24 hours but still had diarrhea and so she came to work. I was around her and the office all day Friday. I tried my very best to stay away from her and the office, but that is only possible to an extent. I washed my hands like crazy and didn't eat anything with my hands.
Needless to say, I have been a anxious, nervous wreck since Friday night. It is now Sunday mid day so it has been about 48 hours since I was exposed. All day yesterday I ate very little and felt the worse I have ever felt with anxiety. Several VERY close calls. This morning I ate a small breakfast but felt like I needed a bigger lunch so I did. About 15 minutes after lunch I had gas pains/stomach cramps which resulted in gas which when expelled made me feel better. About 15 minutes after that I was in the bathroom having a loose stool! Since it has been 48 hours I'm freaking out that the incubation period has set in and I am coming down with the bug. I was thinking that the loose still could be from the overwhelming anxiety these past 2 daya, but i have been able to have normal stool yesterday and this morning. I am still experiencing some stomach gurgling and light bubbling and cramping, but I do feel as though I could eat. This whole time I have done my best to keep eating which is HUGE for me and my emet. I have just been so terrified that I am coming down with her illness and the fact that I had the episode of loose stools I'm even more freaked out.
