I feel a bit silly asking this but... I'm mostly recovered when it comes to my fear, although it surfaces every once in a while. I was prescribed trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim) for a sore throat three days ago and last night I stupidly had three beers without looking up the interactions. In the past I've had more to drink than that and been okay, and I've heard most claims of not mixing antibiotics with alcohol are mostly myths, and I just didn't think it through. I noticed I was more dizzy than usual but wrote it off as not eating and ate when I got home. I slept for two hours and woke up an hour ago with heartburn, which led me to look up the interaction, which led me to get all panicky and anxious and n*. So, I took promethazine 25mg (phenergan). I guess what I'm asking is: am I screwed? Will I be okay? I'm not sure whether my symptoms at this point are from the interaction or just from being anxious. Will the phenergan help me not v*? Any doctors out there who can help give me peace of mind? Thank you

I have no experience with this but i’d suggest not mixing the two again. An anti emetic that is proven to not be effected by alcohol would be a good think for your n. Because you are anxious, the n is probabaly worse than it actually is. Could easily be slight n from something else that grew by feeding off of your anxiety.
