Hey guys, hope you all are well. Over the holidays I ran out of my medication and my doctor wouldn't get back to me to refill it. Today is day 3 of me not taking my meds and I'm feeling very sick. I finally got my medication refilled this afternoon but I'm supposed to take it in the mornings so I haven't had any yet. I just looked up the side effects to not taking it. One common one is apparently v*ing. I'm in a huge panic right now. What should I do? Should I take the meds early or wait? If I do take the meds now, should I open the capsule and take only half to ease myself back into it? Any advice is appreciated, thank you!!!

Hey Katherine, I'm sorry you're feeling unwell.
I'm not sure which meds your own but as a general rule I would go with the directions on the medication. If your doctor or pharmacy has said the pill can be halved and eased into, that's fine - you could do that of it would ease your symptoms however I would not do it without the supervision or direction of a medical professional
Have you tried any nausea easing techniques? Seabands, ginger/ginger tea, water? I sadly don't know much about withdrawal but at the very worst of you v* it will not be a continuous thing and you'll know the cause.I'm not sure that comforts you at all but I wouldn't want you to compromise your health just to avoid v*

Well unfortunately for me I didn't realize I'd be feeling so sick so I already ate dinner (spaghetti) and now am feeling awful. My mom says I should take the whole pill now so I'm gonna do that but I'm still very nervous...

First of all, it's actually better to eat, as I can say from personal experience that if you've got to be sick, it's so much less painful if you have something in your stomach. Second, I would say that if you take the pill now, don't take it tomorrow morning. Wait until the right time instead, and let the pill carry you from now to then. Also, withdrawal symptoms don't suddenly happen after three days, usually it's more immediate. I hope you feel better soon ^^
