I live near Washington, DC, and I went there on a field trip today. Before we left, we had a breakfast potluck, and ate lunch at a museum. Lunch was around noon and it is currently 11:30pm and I just woke up from an accidental nap after sitting here all afternoon with pressure in my throat and stomach pains. I know it's likely feeling like this is due to having eaten a bunch of bad stuff today, but I'm secretly worried that I touched a fossil or something at the museums that some sick kid also touched, then I rubbed my eye (after a few months of usage, I'm getting dry eyes from my contacts).
This isn't a panic post, but a "WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME" post...

I'm glad it's not a panic post! Getting woken up with any sort of stomach issue is the worst! For whatever reason, if you wake up (especially suddenly and before your body's digested the food you ate) it seems like stomach pain, n* and just general gross-feeling comes along with it. I don't know why - I just woke up from a nap myself and definitely don't feel quite right. Usually it passes after you've woken up a bit more. Given the timeline it definitely sounds like your body's been digesting the food you ate, and especially if it was a lot or kind of 'junky' food it could cause pain. As far as I know, it's impossible to contract a sv through your eye.
