I have a contraceptive implant, and haven't had to deal with period pains - cramping, body aches, n* - for awhile. Althought it's only two weeks since the last period (it's not really a real period anymore, just light spotting), I've gotten it again yesterday, but real/worse this time. Only today, I've felt the familiar feelings of period pains, and it's freaking me out although I KNOW that's what it is.
How do you emet ladies deal with your period?

Probably not the response you're looking for - I take as much Advil as I can without overdosing and lay in bed for the first three days. If I have to do stuff (ex. school) I grit my teeth and use thoughts of things that I enjoy (ex. improv solos in jazz ensemble, the last class of the day) to get through it. Once I get a little older, not because I need it to prevent pregnancy but just because I hate periods, I'm going to go on birth control of some sort. My only advice besides medication and warm presses is to focus on things that you love to do in the day and use them as a distraction from the pain. It will also be a distraction from the anxiety, a win-win!
