I went kayaking today and my dog jumped in my lap from the dock and rolled me over. I swallowed a big gulp of lake water. What are the chances of getting Guardia or something from drinking that water? It's a pretty big lake there are lots of birds and turtles and fish and seaweed and teens swimming etc. The water was pretty warm I was only like six feet from the shore.
I've been having anxiety ever since... my stomach was almost empty at the time, not sure if that means there was more or less stomach acid in it to kill bad stuff. Ugh I'm just really worried!

I feel like this is the kind of stuff that our immune systems are built to protect. Back when I was younger I always accidentally swallowed huge gulps of ocean water or pool water. I think you will be OK.

I think you will be OK. Yes, your immune system is built to protect against that kind of exposure. I'm a swimmer and almost every practice (5 days a week) I end up swallowing water, but it doesn't worry me because pool water is treated to be 100% safe (yes, you should wait 45min maximum after a v, fecal, etc incident before getting back in, but it's still safe). Lake water and ocean water, or course, is not treated, but even if there was something in there, it's all spread out so that it can't do anything to you. Unless an ill person v or pooped in the water right there, you're fine!
