Sooo, my mother in law has been away for the past 5 days.
We went round to see her today and she proceeded to tell me she didn't have a very good time because 5 out of 6 people she stayed with came down with v* and d*. So of course there's no way this isn't noro. The first person started on Tuesday and they had all finished by Weds still feeling rough Thursday (it's now Saturday afternoon)
They came home yesterday and the remaining person (the 6th) started to feel unwell and now she's laid up with it.
I would never have gone round if I had known!
My son came with us and he wanted to stay for a couple of hours. I tried to make excuses but it didn't work so he's now there.
I might have just about managed if the final person didn't come down with it yesterday. Now I feel as though the virus is all over my mother in law's house. Is it at all possible that we can escape this? Please please somebody help me I'm a wreck.

Anyone?! I am at my in law's again for dinner. She came home on the Friday morning. The lady that started feeling poorly on the journey home didn't actually v* she just felt really n* and she was back at work today (with my mil).
So it hit 5 out of 6 people over the space of 2 days. The lady who didn't get it bad was the one who cleaned up after everyone with bleach and she had also been with one of them whilst they were v*.
If it spread that quick and the final person didn't get hit with it bad are we in the clear now? X

You might be in the clear, but you should still be cautions in my opinion. It's really cool actually that she didn't catch it out of the 5 or 6 people that did! It is likely the 6th had caught it too, but they reacted better to it or they received weaker exposure. Anyway, hopefully your son washed up afterwards. I don't see him really catching it off of her because she doesn't actually have it, but things she's been touching while away could possibly still carry it if not washed. Definitely be cautious, as least for a little while longer (I would go past 48 hours and be cautious for a week at most). You should all be fine though! It's scary to hear but there's most likely a greater risk of catching something by just going to work with somebody who was around somebody who was sick. P.S. Instead of replying to your own thread, edit what you originally said. That way, it doesn't look like somebody replied with help to the people who don't actually open the help forums that look answered. I open them all because I'm a moderator, so I check on things.

Ok sorry, I was having a meltdown I don't know why I didn't think of that! Haha.
We won't be there again now until Wednesday so I'm hoping by then everything is clear. The speed in which it went through the 5 of them is pretty terrifying yet makes me feel more at ease in the fact that it was obviously a pretty severe strain so symptoms would usually show pretty quickly. First one started at tea time on the Tuesday and they all finished by Weds lunch so 5 people within 19 hours.
I did eat some strawberries last night that my MIL had touched this was approx 96 hrs since she last v* or had d* so fingers crossed we've avoided it. I barely slept last night with worry. To make matters worse, myself and some friends are visiting the same place in 2 weeks!

Still hanging on! Haha 3 days to go until it's been a week since I ate the strawberries and 1 week today since she came home and the virus potentially entered her house. (So 2 people at risk from that day).
