I went to bed feeling fine on the couch then all of a sudden I woke up and it felt like there was a whole heap of pressure in my belly and I panicked and went to bed put my headphones in and very quickly became very n* my mind was going a million miles an hour and my thinking was bad-the usual stuff, I can't handle this, one it's going to happen etc. anytime this happens I got to my car and drive around. And when I got up it got so bad I almost thought that it was going to happen. It started to subside after 5 mins I think and I drove around for another 15. I had to pee so went back home and now I'm in bed and I'm ok but I have really bad heartburn feels like my chest and stomach are on fire and someone tied a knot around my stomach . Any words of advice please I'm desperate

Ahhhh! Scary! How are you feeling now? I wonder if you panicked a little? Is that possible. Maybe something you ate is not sitting right, but you won't v*.

This was very scary. It was so close to happening. I managed to fall asleep though and woke up feeling fine but still on edge a bit. Iif I had a bug surely I would of felt sick again? My anxiety has been word lately I'm really hoping that's what it was

Sounds like an anxiety attack to me. Since it came on so suddenly and then got better instead of worse. I hate anxiety. It can really make you feel like crap. I hope you're feeling better now.

It does sound more like anxiety than a bug, glad you're feeling better now.

Yeah if you were going to v it would have been that moment. If I get even just a little gas I over think it which makes my anxiety worse then my n* worse. Ugh

I had almost the same thing happen but it was an acid reflux attack, I was sleeping flat instead of on my left side. I took a Zantac and it pretty much immediately went away, but before then I was certain I was going to v. I was swallowing and everything, but it was just acid...

I've never had anxiety cause me to be that close to getting sick before. I've been having d* as well which doesn't help I think I'm sick from that. It's interesting how your mind can affect your stomach

When I feel sick, I get in my car and drive as well. I feel like I have to be outside, and I guess driving distracts me.

In high school my anxiety was so bad I had serious stomach issues, aches, d* and v* frequently - maybe that's where my fear started. The mind is a powerful thing! How are you feeling now?
