Every other person posting in my news feed is another family that has it. Some households it seems to take out the whole family, others it only seems to effect 2 out of 4 people.
With that said why am I still afraid? I know you can't get it unless you been in contact with someone that has it, and even if I did, unless they V*'d on me I would not catch it. You have to touch stuff they touched and on top of that they would have had not washed their hands from the last time they went to the bathroom.
I also have IBS, that has moved my emetophobia into levels I would never have dreamed of 5 years ago. Every little noise and gurgle sends me into full blown panic, ever case of bad gas or d* from the IBS has me scared that "this is it"
Back to FB, I love on an island off the coast of NY, as does the people on my FB feed, to see that it's all over the place in an area that is so sensory populated that people are probably handing out germs like they are free candy
Well I'm basically ruining my 4 day weekend.

I'm so glad I don't have FB it seems to add fuel to the fire. I'm bad enough without it. I live in a small town too and you hear people talking, the worst thing you can hear is 'there's loads going around'! I think sometimes we'd be better off not knowing wouldn't we.

I agree that the facebook thing is adding to fuel to the fire...I spent most of today trying to block those trigger words from my timeline. No luck

It's funny, my mother actually keeps that news away from me, I'll go over to visit and I'll be like "read on Facebook that blah blah blah" and she will be like "yeah I didn't want to tell you and scare you just wash your hands" I mean hell this whole notorious thing wouldn't be as much of an issue if people just washed their hands. There will be a vaccine in our lifetime, will we still worry? Probably

Yeah I get what you mean, like on the other hand if I was visiting relatives I would be furious if they didn't tell me they are/had been ill before I made the decision to visit if that makes sense.
Oh I do hope there is a vaccine and soon! I think we would still worry as we are emets but I think the worry would be less as the norovirus is the main one for us as it seems to be the most contagious and the one that affects more people.
