Hi peeps. I'm on vacation and was having a really nice time. I even survived the flight (yay me). We went sight seeing and on the way back to the house while driving on the highway, we see a guy get out of his car and v*. I didn't look but I did see him get out of the drivers side with a napkin up to his mouth. My friends were like "ew that guy just p*" and then continued their conversation like normal people. I however am in panic. That happened about three hours ago and I'm still panicking. I keep replaying the moment over and over in my head. I just want to curl up. I have to leave for dinner soon and I'm scared that I'll get sick or see someone else.... I don't know what to do.

I know how scary it can be to see somebody v*, even if you didn't see the physical v*. I've seen it and had panic attacks.
I'll tell you that one time I walked into the band room at the middle school through it's back door (when I was in middle school), and near the front door (the room is about the size of half a school gym without bleachers) across the room a kid was leaning over the trash can and laughing while the teacher called the nurse and said that "a student just t* u*." I ran into the auditorium down the hall, having a panic attack, and stayed after the bell rang backstage (alone) trying to calm myself. I remember this right now because it was in the beginning of March that it happened. If anything else were to happen, such as somebody v*, talking in description about v*, myself feeling n*, etc. that I would completely lose my sanity.
Try telling yourself that you can't be hurt by what happened. The reassurance that you will be okay should help you calm yourself. Tell yourself over and over to keep the panic off. You'll probably still be anxious, but at least not panicky. Vacation is fun and can be full of distractions, so I'd suggest trying to enjoy yourself, and it will surprise you how easily you can calm down and forget!

I've been in your shoes before. I've seen a man pull over and do the same. What helps me is thinking that he could have had just had a round of chemo done.. (I know that sounds awful!).. but usually instead of focusing on the fact that he v, I immediately start feeling bad for the poor person. Even though all of it is made up in my head lol. Atleast I am no longer panicking. Anyway, maybe try and see if your friends want to go play mini putt putt or something to get your mind off of it.
I am so jealous that you're on vacation. I would LOVE to take a vacation this year.. but having a baby in April/May has taken that opportunity away 😂.. Oh well, I'll take the baby snuggles! 😍😍

I've seen people get out of their cars and puke and I've seen people get out of their cars and do what I think was going to be puke. I don't let it bother me.
Once I was driving on a four-lane street and I was in the outside lane. Someone got out of a van in the inside lane (middle of traffic on a four-lane) and puked. I think he was obviously drunk.
Another time I was driving on the Interstate and I saw a car pull to the shoulder. A little girl got out of the rear driver's side door, walked around to the passenger side and hopped down by the rear tire and squatted. I was going 70 MPH so I didn't see any more, but I assume she did that so she could puke. She must have been about the same age I was when I last threw up and I had the impression it wasn't the first time she'd done it that morning. It didn't seem to bother her any. Why can't we be more like her?

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I think I've felt the same exact exact way as each of you at some point. I so wish I could shake it off or laugh but I can't. I'm much more chill today than last night. Grateful that you are here and I was able to write what happened. I'm heading home tomorrow. It's been a good week so I'm gonna focus on that. XOXO

Omg...for real? W.t.f...I feel like that's so rare...to see a random person v*, Especially while on vacay. Seriously...it's good luck...you should play the lottery. That's how I see it, anyway.
