Ugh, I was having a decent winter until these last couple weeks. I had a scare last week and was anxious all week long. Yesterday (Friday) I was working at our outpatient office which shares space with an urgent care. I was sitting at my desk, which has a wall up in front of me for privacy, when a grandma and young girl came in and the grandma said the little girl needed to be seen because she had v* at least 30 times since the night before. I immediately got up and got a nurse because that's a little out of what can be handled there. When I got up I stayed back a ways and while our nurse was talking to them the little girl v* again. The grandma had a bucket but I'm worried that i was too close to them. Our nurse sanitized the area in the waiting room where she had been sick, so I didn't have to. I am just worried I was exposed when she got sick. This was my last day to fill in there so I am just trying to think about that.

I'm starting to get n* but idk if it's anxiety or what I ate today.... or the bug. I am freaking out. I hate this fear so much.

Oh my! 30 times?! Did the nurse say if it was a bug or not?? That seems a little extreme to be a bug!
Otherwise if it was a bug, I think you were far enough away! When I worked at a daycare, I would have kids literally v right next to me and I wouldn't catch it. Ofcourse I would freak out for days after.. but I didn't catch it. I think your body has probably built up an immune system to it also so even if you were standing closer, you probably would be fine too! I hope your n has settled down for you!

We actually had to send her to another facility because she was extremely ill. They were thinking it could be something else, like fp. We were all super concerned about the little girl because she could barely walk. I made sure to go into the back once I heard her Grandma say she was going to v* again, but was near when it all started. I am still panicking and n* but am just trying to relax. I just hate being in situations like this. I hope your daughter is feeling better as well!!

Oh my. It does sound like it could be food poisoning! I'm serious, that is traumatizing for anyone at any age. I only pray that she doesn't develope a fear because of her sickness! I hope she's doing better!
I definitely don't think you could have been exposed! Try and find something to get your mind off your anxiety and nausea. I've been a nervous wreck today and have literally went on 3 drives to just calm my nerves. Ofcourse I took my daughter along with me, but Atleast I knew I was out of the house away from the germs.
My daughter seems to be doing much better! Just praying and hoping she isn't/wasn't contagious 😔

I think that stuff bothers me so much because that is how my fear started. I was so sick so much that my mom didn't know what to do. I was hospitalized and have been scared to death ever since. I am hoping she is doing better as well! I have been trying to watch netflix and just lay down, I am okay for right now. But that is good!! I think that it might have just been a fluke thing. Keep your head up, you've been through enough already.. You got this!!

I'm sorry it happened like that for you. It's crazy how at such a young age it can cause a large impact on our lives. 😢

Hope things are better today!! I'm still struggling.. just super anxious and trying to focus on the race today because it's my family's super bowl but it's so hard. I just wish this anxiety would stop. It's been about 48 hours since the little girl got sick but that's not putting my mind at ease

If I was in your position, I would be so so anxious. Sorry that you had to witness that! But if she v*ed that many times and for that long, it probably wasn't a sv.* Younger children do get sick a lot, and I remember having bad sv*s at that age where I v*ed many times, but never close to 30, and never for that long. It sounds like it could be a bad case of fp* or a medical condition like CVS. Maybe even appendicitis. I don't think you have to worry- if anyone were to get sick, it would be the grandma from actively handling the bucket of v*. Your exposure was so minimal that nothing could possibly happen.

Thanks for the reply!! I just feel so bad for them but then I slowly start to break down. I was curious as to what was going on with her because she seemed so so sick. Could barely walk out of our building I just hate these close calls. I finally ate dinner and am already super anxious. I couldn't pass because it was made for me so I had to eat. It's just a really rough weekend.
