Help!!!

Hi Jen. I'm glad you are seeking out help. All you can really do now is, assuming that your 9 year old does have a sv*, be extremely clean. Let her handle it on her own (and praise her later for doing so). Your job is to make sure you and your 11 year old are as clean as possible. Wash the bathrooms and wherever else your 9 year old has been around, and always wash your hands before eating. Remember, you aren't killing it by washing your hands, you are washing it down the sink. You have a much less risk if you weren't right there when she v*, but either way staying clean will leave you with a 99% chance of not catching it!

Thanks! My 9 year old is doing pretty good today. I cleaned like crazy! It helps that she stayed in her room yesterday and today and used only the one bathroom. Praying no one else gets it!

Now I am pretty sure hubby has it:( he had pain stomach pains some d* and then v*. He says he feels better now. We did eat carry out for dinner and I guess it could be food poisoning. Not sure though espcially since my 9 year old just had it. I feel like my older daughter and I are doomed. My older daughter is like me washes hands a lot and she has stayed in the basement family room and not used the upstairs bathroom at all. I have zofran and I am thinking about just giving her a dose every 8 hours for a few days to help.

Sorry that you're going through this. If it's been that long it should be over soon. Is he drinking water right after v*? That could induce more v* and he should wait atleast 30 minutes before even drinking small sips. Even if he hasn't, there probably isn't much left. Remind him to only eat small bland food even if he has an appetite. Stay strong.

Im so sorry you're going through this right now. I know how scary it is. I am kind of in the same situation at the moment. The best you can do it keep your hands clean and away from your face. And once he is done being sick completely clean everything he touched with a bleach solution. I know its hard but this is temporary. Everything will be back to normal before you know it. Hugs

On an empty stomach (like not even water), there is the potential that you will gag and heave but nothing will come up. But besides that, I think you can get through it without v*. Remember that your anxiety makes you feel worse, so focus on controlling your anxiety by not focusing on it.

I'd be too scared to go into a hospital, and I never have. I went into a nursing home twice before and that was really scary! That's another one of those "should I have kids after college?" things to consider. If your husband is getting the headache from an illness that can be passed, then definitely be careful!!!

Hi! We are doing good. My oldest never did get sick (knock on wood). My husband had a migraine so he was given meds and then was good. I guess the bug and being dehydrated caused the migraine? Thank you for all your help and support everyone!! When you are in that moment its nice to have people who understand what your feeling!
