I've been staying w/ my family for the holidays and they're aware of my emetophobia, I've been cooking my own meat just to be sure I won't undercook it or anything, and it keeps me at peace. This morning I woke up and my mom was making bacon, I was nervous but she assured me it was fine. I had it with eggs and the bacon was really hard to chew through, or atleast it felt that way. It looked like it was completely fine but my mind is fucking with me. Ever since then i've felt n* and my skin just started feeling really clammy. I'm probably just obsessing over this way to hard but i'm convinced its food poisoning. Can anyone help me out?

No worries. It is most likely nerves because you are so used to making your own food. I am sure it is, and if nobody else is ill... It is definitely not anything.

I agree with khernandez, it's fine. Plus, my family likes really really raw bacon (like floppy-raw) and none of them have ever gotten sick from it. Nor have I, on the rare (ha ha, unintentional pun) occasion I've eaten it!

The bacon was fine. There is no need to creamate food in order to ensure that it is safe to eat. People eat bacon all sorts of ways - well done, regular and slightly less than crunchy. It is so cured that the risk of food poisoning is very low.

The bacon will have been fine and you will be fine. I would say it is just anxiety making you feel that way it happens to me on a regular basis. Well done for eating something you haven't cooked though it sounds like it's a big deal for you x
