I'm afraid I don't have any experience with hernias, but why do you have to wait a few months to work on the doctor process?

Definitely not laying down after eating. My father had one and after surgery the surgeon told him it was physically impossible for him to v* now, lucky duck. I hope you get to see a Dr sooner than a few months.

Health insurance lapse and no appointments available for new pcp to be referred to a GI. I have my hernias from pregnancy. I have HORRIBLE gas/bile problems, which in turn- makes me feel like I'm going to gag. Gagging for me is the worst part of my phobia because I tend to not be able to control it, and I fear the v*. Shoot, if my Dr told me I'd never physically v* again, I'd be the happiest woman alive.
My husband and I physically have to push it back into place under my sternum. It sucks so bad. The acid reflux is always burning my throat and it always feels like I have a huge horse pill stuck in my throat.

I currently am scared to try to go back to cosmetology school (9 months post having my son) because I always feel sick to my stomach. Being able to feel every. Single. Movement, is not helping my case. I sniff essential oils and alcohol pads for the anxiousness, and rely on gas x, Prevacid, and even turn to antiemetics when the gag reflex is too heavy. It just knocks me out for 3 days, which I can't have if I'm going to school.
