Hi everyone.
I hope you're having a wonderful day/night. I'm having a bit of a rough time right now because people at my job have come down with a stomach virus and are coming in to work sick. It started last week with this girl who did not come in to work sick but came in a day after her symptoms went away then she gave it to this other girl who came down with it Saturday night into Sunday then came in to work yesterday (Monday) still feeling very nauseous. I don't know if she got sick at work or anything but we only have two bathrooms most of which people use the one near all of the offices. I take the extra walk and go to the bathroom that's really supposed to just be for our visitors which we don't usually have any. I've been very cautious about staying away from both of them and not touching things they touch but we are all on the same team so it's hard to not touch some papers they might have touched. I've been very vigilant about washing my hands (probably too much) especially after touching common things like doorknobs and obviously before eating. I also never take my break at work so I never have to like eat anything there. I'm still worried this is not enough and it's driving me insane. I just really need some peace of mind that I'm doing everything I can to prevent myself from getting it??

You truly are, and then some.
While it may have been passed at work, you don't know their hygiene or who ever else they may have been exposed to. The truth of it all is, we may be exposed many times per day and not even know it. Grocery stores, malls, movies, any public place really, someone who JUST got over (or is still actively dealing with!) a virus. Now, I don't say this to alarm you and I apologize if I do, but rather it should be a comforting thought to know that you go through your daily life and nothing has happened. Keep this thought with you. Just keep up good hygiene, stay overall generally healthy and you will be fine!
