I was last sick...: I V* quite often now
|
Post by sopherzzx on Jan 22, 2017 21:19:27 GMT -5
So I had my colonoscopy on Tuesday, it went really well. I went back to eating normal food and I've experienced stomach pain at various times throughout the week. I posted before about my friend who had the sv* and told me, well Saturday another close friend got it but he is persistent in saying it was his anxiety and not a sv*. I haven't been around either since Friday and didn't touch either of them. We are beginning to think that I have some sort of food intolerance since my colonoscopy and endoscopy were normal besides some ulceration and inflammation in my actual stomach. This weekend we've had our kitchen tile redone so we haven't been able to go into the kitchen so I've had fast food/restraunt food every meal this weekend. I just started getting cramps in my stomach and the urgency to have a BM, (sorry TMI) my BM was thin but solid. But I felt as if I would have d*. Im probably psyching myself out over this but I'm afraid I could have a sv*. Im hungry every so often but I'm afraid to eat because I'd rather v* on an empty stomach (just liquids) than with food. I feel like everything is falling apart and I'm shaking, someone reassure me or help me please.

Are you feeling any better now? Usually, when people try to figure out food intolerances, they eliminate all possible irritants, and eat very clean for a bit. Then, they add things back slowly. Like...week 1-3 eat clean, veg and protein. Week 4-add back dairy, week 5-add back gluten, week 6 add back sugars...that way you can tell which food is the culprit.

Can you take a bath, drink some warm tea, and eat some peppermints or ginger, or chew some gum? Can you watch Netflix in the tub? Those things all help me! It's warm and cozy, and a distraction, and also, you're already in the bathroom if you need to be.

I'm having a popsicle and getting my heating pad out. I hate this feeling

That's fair. Did you take your temperature yet? That's another way I test myself. I put the inside of my forearm up to my head and hold it there. Not your wrist, the fleshy part just before your elbow pit. Elbow pit? Yeah....lol. Anyway. Concentrate and don't let yourself fake a fever. If they are about the same temp, that's a good sign. You have to be honest though, don't let your mind fool you!

I feel exactly as you do with the tub... if I take a bath, I feel a million times worse. I'm going to say though, eat. From experience, having stuff in your stomach is so much more comfortable than without. I have that d* feeling, but then just thin solid poo all the time. I've never been sick with it.
Can you smeel some lavender, drink some tea/water, read a book, pet a dog, etc? That helps me when I'm feeling like that.

If you had a sv,* it would be much more fast-acting, so I doubt that you have one. You would feel progressively more n,* with a general sick feeling, and you probably wouldn't even have a stomach cramp. Your cramps/stomach issues right now could be your IBS, made worse with your anxiety about having a sv.*

Nobody understands this phobia. I'm going to go steal my dog from my parents room & And try the toast.

Yes! Toast is actually a fantastic thing to eat if you feel bad, especially if it has a little bit of burn on it. I've heard tell that the burned part helps settle the stomach, and the bread soaks up excess acid that might be making you feel n* and sick. I know how it is for people to go "Well you're a wimp, people have it worse!" Like, yeah sure, but does that mean it doesn't hurt? If I broke my leg, people wouldn't say "Suck it up, some people break their backs" so why do they act as if phobias are nothing! It makes me mad.
Remember that we're all here for you, and we've pretty much all been where you are right now.

What an inconsiderate thing to say. I hope you demand an apology! You deserve one, anyway. Sheesh. People can be so obtuse. She might have been hoping that would help you, but it really was not the right thing to say, was it? Dogs are awesome! What kind of dog is it?

All fears are real fears. I myself can empathize with others and hope I can help others because I hate the feeling of being alone. It's hard to rationalize my thoughts while I'm panicking. Tomorrow i may wake up fine and think to myself "that panic attack was un-needed, because I'm fine now" but while I feel crappy I can't think about anything other than v*. I'm getting help, I want to overcome my fear. I just seriously wish people could empathize more instead of brushing our fear off.

Glad you're feeling a bit better! it's nice because he's also good to use as a pillow or a big teddy bear He's very gentle with everybody. I'm thinking im just having a bad IBS flare because my stomach keeps cramping up.
