So I've just woken up suddenly with the sensation of needing to gag. I'm freaking out it's like how it feels before it's going to happen. I'm really freaking out now just trying to breath. Sometimes I have the baggy feeling in the back of my throat and lately I'm starting to think it's just anxiety but it's never been this bad and I've just woken up suddenly with it. There's lots of stomach bugs going around and my hygiene sometimes isn't that great. Please help I think it's getting worse

It could be possible that while sleeping you had some post nasal drip/mucus run down your throat. For now drink some water or tea and see if that helps. Is your stomach bothering you at all?

Relax...ycould you have been choking in your sleep? This happens to me more than I would like to admit. Try a bath and some warm water or mints/chewing gum.

Sometimes I choke on my own saliva, and wake up coughing and gagging. It is really special and convenient. Sinus stuff could do it, too...if it's sloooowly trailing down your throat. Dull stomach, you might be hungry, is that possible?

Hey, how are you feeling now? I have had this feeling from anxiety before and while it sucks, it's important to remember that you can't v* unless you feel n.* Our bodies feel random sensations all the time, and us emets always take these sensations, dwell on them, and magnify them, which makes them worse. That's definitely what this was. I've had this happen to me before too, and while it makes me panic, it always turns out to be nothing!
