I live with two girls and one of them drinks until she v* every time. She knows I have a phobia of it and that it makes me very anxious but still she goes on and on doing this. I wouldn't mind but my room is right next to the bathroom and I can hear literally everything it's so disgusting and now my anxiety is going to be awful until tomorrow is over just in case she v*. I won't be able to sleep until she gets home because if I am woken up by the sound of her v* I will be worse than if I wait to hear it. I really have a problem with any kind of v* not just me so this is really making me very upset.

This may not help now because you probably don't have any but going forward, could you wear earplugs when you know she's coming home drunk so you won't hear her?

I have some and I have tried this but it doesn't help because my front door vibrates my bed so I wake up from that anyways

Guys she is back and was not sick but now I am panicking that I will be woken up by it. My anxiety is so bad right now. I want to cry. I don't know how to stop this.

So sorry that this is happening. If you do get woken up by it, just remind yourself that what she is v*ing from is not contagious. I know what you have a phobia of all types of v,* but keep telling yourself that while she may be v*ing, you're definitely not going to.

Hmm, what can you do to move? That's your best option. Otherwise, try different ways of dealing with it.

I am beside myself. I can't deal with the n* that I feel while it happens. I hope it doesn't. I hate this. Why am I suffering about this. I can't even catch it.

You're suffering because it still involves v*. Contagios v* is the scariest, but all v* is triggering. If your panic is making you n* could you try tea, ginger, peppermint, etc. to calm you and dull the n*?

If it happens, just keep whispering to yourself, "I can't catch it, I'm fine. I'll be completely fine." Use headphones or earplugs to drown out all of the noise, and take deep breaths. It's completely normal to feel n* if you're around someone who's v*ing- even if it's from something you can't catch. I remember feeling n* every time someone v*ed on the school bus in elementary school. It sucks

I am sucking some mints right now but I'm annoyed because I was asleep and she woke me being noisy when she got in. Now I will find it hard to fall back to sleep because I am worrying.

Put your earbeans in, put on some calming music (I like Yes's Roundabout, Don Philipe's I Will Sleep, Harris Cole's Game Over, etc), eat some mints, drink some tea, smell lavender, and relax. It'll all be over before you know it

This was my situation in dorm rooms for the entirety of last year; I am so sorry, it really sucks. What I did to help is always had some headphones nearby so I could pop them in and listen to some relaxing music if I needed to. It also may be nice to keep some cleansing wipes around, just in case you want to clean the areas that you two share. My anxiety was the worst last year because people were nonstop v*ing and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, but I never caught anything and was always totally fine! Just remember to wash your hands a lot, and as hard as it may be, try to sleep... not sleeping always made me way more anxious, stressed, and on edge. You will be okay! <3
