I agree with jess. I'll be checking the IES site daily but it's been weeks now with no action, I'm thinking we try to make this a new home and continue trying to get people onto this site for support

It sucks that the other site's gone down, but I do like this one. It's got a much more updated feel to it - now just need to make sure everyone that needed the old site can find their way to this one.

You never know... I remember June 2015, it was out for a long while before it came back in July. I know this because I made a friend that June on their (we rarely speak now though) and then it came back around the time I got my exam scores back in from May. So you never know, it could be back within a month. I don't know though.

I remember when it went out that time - it actually benefited me so much because it gave me time to work on my recovery and make huge progress.
To be honest though, I don't see any sense going back even if it does get fixed because of this trend of it going down with nobody seeming to fix it or even offer any explanation.

This site is great to carry on the IES with a caring admin and caring staff who are active. Plus, we don't have a million inactive accounts cluttering up the space.

So thankful we have this site! Kudos to whoever created this... I've been on ies for several years, always feel a little lost if I need it and it's down.

At the moment, there are three staff members. Koiz is the admin, and razzle and me are moderators. And we promise we won't do what the original site's admin and staff did!

We've all got the phobia... we're in the same boat as you all are!

I am the only moderator left.
I don't have any power to fix IES, and I don't have a ready way of contacting the owner.
Vbulletin is just software that you download and install; Vbulletin doesn't have any control over IES.

Vbulletin is just software that you download and install; Vbulletin doesn't have any control over IES. The owner just doesn't care anymore. If vbulletin doesn't have control, then perhaps the owner purposely shut it down? No idea why they would want to do that. Perhaps because it was ad-free, they were paying to run it, and don't want to pay for us anymore.

Jess, you are pretty new. I have been on IES for 12 years. There have been many outages on IES, some lasting almost a year. We used to have a backup board called emetophobics.proboards.com just for use during IES outages. Doug

Then maybe it will come back sometime soon. But honestly, I am content here. I've figured out how to use proboards and it works just the same, just without the convinient chat feature.

About the private chat- I'm working on finding a way to add that so the shoutbox. The proboards forums have a section for coding, and I've posted to try to see if anyone knows how.
