is anyone awake to help me through this panic? i really need someone who understands this fear... i did so well all day while my daughter was *v, but now her daddy is lying with her and she's asleep... but about 40 minutes ago, we tried giving her medicine to bring her temp down, and she had a horrible episode. it literally made me cry seeing her *h and *v and cry because she has nothing left in her poor tummy! i am a mess! shaking and freaking out... thinking we're all gonna start in getting *s next! please talk to me someone....
we all had the flu with aching bodies, fever, congestion, etc. over the last week... so, i'' not even sure if she has an actual stomach bug or if her little body (5 years old) is just manifesting whatever virus we had differently! but to throw up 9 times?!? đ˘
im just so scared. i'm shaking and panicking... know i wont sleep.

AWWW. Try to sleep. I know that sounds like a lot right now, but it will be an escape. Sometimes kids v* from illnesses that present with cough/sinus stuff for adults. Post nasal drip alone can cause chaos. She might have eaten something strange, too. Her tummy is not as strong as yours....how's it going now?

thank you so much for replying! i really appreciate it! i'' actually feeling a little nauseous off and on, but i'm not sure if it's legitimate or if my anxiety is making me feel that way. i am so exhausted. everyone else is sleeping, and here i am frozen with anxiety over things i have no control over.

I bet you will eventually fall asleep. Maybe not for a solid 8 hours, but enough to give you a break. So good that her dad is able to help her by staying by her side. And it's okay if you can't right now. If anything, sleep will help you fight off anything weird, and help you be a better mommy tomorrow. This phobia is the worst. I have no children, but I cannot imagine how heart wrenching it must be to see them sick. Be strong!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. We are going through it too. My daughter was v Monday night and has been battling stomach cramps since. I'm praying my husband and I don't catch it. How are you and your daughter feeling now?

I hope your daughter is over the v now. My daughter is 4 and she caught the flu back in November. She was the first to catch it and I freaked out because on the first day her only symptom was v. A lot! I thought for sĂťre she had an sv and the rest of us were screwed. By the next day she was very tired, had a constant fever and was coughing. She also had d on the 3rd and 4th days. It was horrible . I Did catch it from her but only had cold like symptoms. No v or d. If your daughter has a fever its very possible That it is infact the flu. How is everyone now?

Unfortunately- this is me.. EVERY SINGLE TIME one of my kids are sick. I start to cry and apologize to her I'm a bad mom for not being able to take care of her. Just ask your husband to be understanding and confirm that this is just one small thing you can't do. Everyone has limits and breaking points. Ours are just v* or anything involving it. Feel better mama!
How is babe now?
