Something that dawned on me, and I thought that I should share. Growing up, my parents made me drink milk every morning, because they thought it was good for me. Like a good daughter, I drank the milk. And I ate other dairy products.
I always had had a sour stomach. I would worry about it, and panic...and it always felt awful. My parents thought it was anxiety (and it was, partially), and dismissed me a lot.
It took me until I moved away and had to buy my own food. I rarely chose milk or dairy. Then one night, I had a glass of milk, and I thought I was going to v*and die. (Of course I panicked.)
Long story short, it took me an entire childhood of absolute torture to realize that I am lactose intolerant. So, if you have a lot of tummy issues, think about that as a possibility.
xo
btw, despite the lactose and tummy issues, I have always been phobic of v*. It might have been caused by feeling lousy all the time, but I don't think so. I think for me, its control.

I found this out at a young age.. I rarely drink milk because of my intolerance. Mine has gotten better with age though. But your story reminds me of my husband.. His parents forced all the kids to drink milk at breakfast and dinner. He said they always had to finish the glass. If I would have had to do the same, I would have been so so so sick! Milk was so awful for me as a child!
