Ate a few bites of cauliflower that really smelled. It was raw.....so scared I'm going to get food poisoning! Please help!!!

Hey, it's rare to get food poisoning from vegetables or fruit. People almost always get it from meat, seafood or dairy. And if you ate it more than an hour or two ago, you're most likely in the clear!

it really smelled awful - threw the rest out and whole garbage reeked. is 1-2 bites enough to make you sick?

My mom had a couple of bites of scallops that REEKED of ammonia. Rancid shellfish is like one of the easiest ways to get horrid fp* And she was fine I think in small quantities our bodies can deal with it as we usually know after a bite or two if something is "No way". Our bodies can still process it. So even if it was in fact bad, I doubt anything would come out of two bites of a veggie.

I think you'll be just fine. Also cauliflower always gives me gas, so if you do end up with a bubbly stomach or something later don't panic
