Like I've posted, my daughter has had the dreaded sv. Here's the list of precautions I've been taking and doing. Please tell me if there's something else I should do also.
Drinking grape juice. I read 3 cups a day for 2 weeks so that's my plan!
Lots and Lots of handwashing and glove wearing.
No hands to mouth. If I eat, it's with a clean fork and spoon.
I've bleached mostly everything she came in contact with. Something's were hard though, like our cloth rocking chair. If anyone has any go tos please let me know!
No licking lips.
ACV.. I haven't drank it yet, but am about to.
Using paper towels instead of hand towels for bathrooms and kitchen.
If I think of anything else I'll let respond again. Please tell me what I'm missing! I'm really really really praying and hoping that I don't catch this!

Two things I got into the habit of (in public anyway) opening the bathroom door handle with a paper towel. You're at home though, I imagine your bathroom is pretty disinfected lol
Also not sure how you store toothbrushes but I keep mine in a holder in my room, not in the bathroom. If your toothbrush is exposed in the bathroom I would get a new one or clean it and then keep it in your bedroom or in a cabinet in the bathroom at the very least. (Little tidbit I learned in high school about waste particles flying around after flushing a toilet, ew)

Also, how do you guys figure out what's anxiety and what's the true deal?? I'm feeling pretty awful right now and can't tell if it's anxiety or not. Its been 24 hours since her first v experience. (The one I would have been exposed to)

That is a difficult one. I know when I had sv/fp (not sure which it was) I didn't feel anxious nd anxiety n* just..off. I even noted it to my boyfriend saying "The n* didn't feel like it usually does" I was SUPER bloated to the point I was taking off my pants thinking they were too tight but nothing worked. It just felt gross and I felt really zoned out. This also happened when I had d* for 8 hours back in November (but without the bloat...I had pains in my stomach and I believe that was just food related)
Does your stomach actually hurt or cramp? I find my anxiety n* lies in my throat. I feel the need to gag all the time and I feel on edge, making it seem like I'll be ill. Usually winding down watching something distracting with my heating pad on my stomach helps distract me. Also if I can think of food or look at food I know I am usually okay. In both instances in March 2015 as well as this past Nov with the d*, I couldn't even look at food and had no drive to eat at all.

That's how I was back in September. I just felt "off"... this time around I feel like it may be a nervous tummy but even that scares the crap out of me. I don't have any pains or really discomfort. I just feel a little bloated at the top of my abdomen near my ribs. I do keep needing to urgently go to the bathroom but when I go I barely have anything come out. Honestly, I think it's a mixture of the grape juice I've been drinking and pregnancy.
I think feeling so doomed is what is causing me to feel like this. If I do catch it, I honestly don't know what else I could have done to not to. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm going to be there with my daughter when she v. So besides that being exposed during the v, I'm doing everything else in my power to prevent it.. I'm just at a loss on how to stay positive now.

If it makes you feel better, my mom would NEVER catch the sv from my little brothers or myself when we were kids, and she was a lot less careful. Plus my brothers and I were not at all good about making it to the bathroom or a garbage can. Poor ma. Anyway, all three of us would get it at least once per year and she's only had it maybe once in the last 20 years. So it's definitely not a death sentence if your child catches it. Your immune system is so much better than hers. Also that much grape juice can definitely cause some abdominal distress.

I'm definitely going to slow down the grape juice. It's made me feel pretty nasty lol. My husband had about 3 glasses also and has been having the same issues. So I guess Atleast I know the grape juice is what's causing the discomfort and not a sv. That's amazing for you mom! I think I only had a sv a total of 3 times as a child, and like you, my mom rarely caught it. I had some violent ones too and she would be standing right there with me while it would happen. You have made me feel a lot more confident that I can make it without catching it. Thanks!

You rub the peppermint oil onto your abdomen for n* the smells helps and it feels really nice and cold like on your stomach. I also take peppermint oil pills called "Peptogest" that I swear by.
