Remember to most people this is just another part of life, because in reality it IS! This would be the same as posting about the thunderstorm rumbling outside. It would upset a VERY small % of the population but for 99.9% of the population it would be relatable. We post photos of our babies, our dogs, of the big spider we found in the shower, it's every day life but for every post there's someone it upsets. The more we read these things and accept that it's a normal blah part of life the closer we get to recovery. Stomach virus season is here and you know what? It will be over in a few weeks. Every year it shows up and every year people post about it on Facebook. Perhaps take a break for a few weeks until things slow down, or go in determined to use these posts to retrain your brain to be able to rationally read these sorts of posts.

Lol. Yeah...I don't like it when people get too graphic about their bodies on social media. It's kinda like parents that think it's cute to post pics of their kid or pet's bowel movements and stuff...whyyyyyyyyyy? Who benefits from this?

I used to hate it too but now I try to use it to my benefit by just watching how a day after a parent posts about their whole family having a bug ... they're all out doing some fun family activity, all smiles, no more mention of the stomach bug that ran through the house.
Whereas we keep thinking about it for weeks sometimes, it's basically out of sight, out of mind for them. It's inspiring and something to work toward because that's the way we all SHOULD react.
